The Recpro Houghton a3400 is a fantastic AC for a small RV or van, it’s low profile and quiet nature makes it perfect for low impact or low profile camping. It only has one flaw. The fan never shuts off! In a humid environment, this takes the wet coils (ACs naturally dehumidify) and once the compressor shuts down, puts that humidity back into the air! This led to sticky nights and lots of frustration.
After many nights of Googling and seeing other frustrated users, I decided to fix it myself.
